Empty Classrooms Day 2015

Friday 19th June was Empty Classrooms Day 2015, a nationwide initiative to get more lessons out of class and take learning outside.

All children and teachers across the school took to this with the usual Whitmore enthusiasm! A vast range of lessons and subjects were taught outside, from maths and science, to art and literacy.

All KS2 classes also had a gardening session with school gardener Calvin and planted runner beans for the vegetable patches. We look forward to trying the fruits of their labours!
