On behalf of Shoreditch Park PTA we would like to send a warm welcome to all Pupils, Parents/ Carers, Teachers and Friends of Shoreditch Park.
We are fortunate at our school to have PTA that is an integral part of the school community. We have transformed the Shoreditch Park Parents’ Committee into an officially recognised PTA. Last year we have raised just over a £1,000 which will be spend on equipment and resources to enhance our children’s education experience and KS1 playground.
Our PTA is about much more than simply fundraising. We want to provide closer links between home and school and it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal. It is fun too - just ask any of the Committee members or PTA helpers. Obviously, as in any organisation, we have experienced some challenges but we believe that with the continued support of parents and staff, our PTA will succeeded in its efforts.
All parents and members of the school community are encouraged to get involved, even if they only have a small amount of time available. If you cannot dedicate your time, perhaps you may have some useful skills (gardening, painting, baking etc), resources (paints, paintbrushes, plants, gardening equipment, tablecloths, napkins etc) or know someone who could support us in any way?
The PTA is extremely conscious of the ethos and diversity of our school, and we try very hard when organising and planning events to respect this. To continue with our effort we need more parents and teachers to help with running our events such as bake sales, discos, Winter Fest- just to name a few.
If you would like to join us we will have meetings on Fridays at 9am - 10 am. If you cannot commit to meetings but are able to help with other things mentioned above please leave your contact details (name, telephone, email, year in which your child is at school) and we will contact you.
