Year 3 have been learning all about refugees using the 20 simple acts. They learnt about the journey a refugee may need to take if they are forced out of their homes. In order to completely understand the journey of a refugee we learnt about the stories of some refugees and used these to create a story map, which we used to inform our hot seating activities and write a diary entry during Power of Reading. As part of the 20 simple acts we learnt songs, and more specifically activism. As part of the act of activism we created banners as a class and posters, which we look to use in the future! Finally, we wrote some messages that we would say if we ever were to greet a refugee coming to our country!
