A council is a group of people that meet regularly. They are elected representatives of a group, who come together to consult, deliberate, or make decisions.
Shoreditch Park Primary School Council members help to represent children’s voices. They are a team of committed students who wish to help improve the school, they pride themselves on creating positive change. SPPS School council meets to address issues that have been raised by children. They also work hard to involve our local community, charities and other schools within the Shoreditch Park Primary Community.
Article 12 (respect for the views of the child): Every child has the right to express their views, feelings and wishes in all matters affecting them, and to have their views considered and taken seriously. This right applies at all times, for example during immigration proceedings, housing decisions or the child’s day-to-day home life.
