To launch National Storytelling Week we had a special assembly where we celebrated the joy of stories and reading and children in KS1 shared some of their writing from this half term. Children in Year 1 have been studying poetry and then wrote their own inspired by the ones they had been reading. You can listen to some here. These are about the sea and a spider's cobweb! We know you will agree that these Year 1 poets are very impressive. Maybe they will publish their own book of poetry one day? Year 2 also shared their chronological reports about cats. If you want to learn some new cat facts - just ask Year 2! Remember to keep reading at home every night and signing your Home Reading record so that next assembly you could win a reading prize! Well done to all of KS1.
