It was a food sharing feast on Tuesday. We had treats from Turkey, Jamaica, Estonia and Poland! Celebrating cultural diversity for Refugee Week, Nursery sampled papaya, short bananas, multi-coloured popcorn, pasta, potato salad and pastries. Clean plates were also celebrated as some children found their favourite dishes and went up for thirds! Many of us also learned the word for napkin after getting really stuck in to the juicy papaya. We were proud of the children for trying new foods and all the cooks. Afterwards, we played some music from our home countries and shook our Nursery-made lentil maracas!
