Reception have had a very busy first week back, enjoying our new core text The Very Hungry Caterpillar, as part of our new topic 'Lifecycles'! In Literacy, we created caterpillar and butterfly artwork, drew story maps and practised reading and writing the days of the week. We also did a great job describing the foods in the TVHC using exciting adjectives. In Maths, we created repeating and growing patterns and enjoyed a practical and messy lesson exploring capacity! In Topic, we learned about the life cycle of a butterfly, and also used TVHC to help us practise the days of the week and numbers in Spanish.
