Science - Using Electricity

In Shoreditch Park this week we have been lucky enough to have Dan, a scientist from the Royal Institiute of Science visit us in school to show us a number of experiements showing how we manage to use electricity every day - despite it being so dangerous!  We witnessed some of the earliest demos that ever showed how electricity can be used and harnessed, developed by two of the Royal Institution’s most famous scientists Faraday and Davy. This electrifying family show includes lots of live demos showcasing static electricity, generators and how magnetism and electricity work together with the volunteers being Shoreditch Park's own children!

mya - I liked when he did the loud part because I like loud things.

Molly - I think it was really fun. When we got to the loud noise activity and it was so loud!
