Autism Resource Provision

Welcome to Shoreditch Park School's Autism Resource Provision (ARP). This page provides information about the curriculum and the procedures in place for the ARP. For pictures and information for current parents of pupils in Seuss or Sharratt class please visit our Year Group page.

Rochelle Howard is Shoreditch Park Primary School's ARP manager. She has extensive experience working in London schools. Miss Howard runs ARP tours throughout the academic year- please get in touch via the office to find out about ARP tour dates.

Curriculum

The ARP curriculum works in tandem with the mainstream curriculum offer and many of our pupils attend learning in their year group classroom for part (or all) of the week. We provide 2 SEND classes that teach a bespoke adapted curriculum to meet the specific needs of the pupils in the class. This balances core and foundation subjects with Speech and Language and SEND/EHCP targets to ensure all aspects of pupil development are met. Some subjects, such as reading, literacy and maths, are taught daily. PSHE, P.E and Science are taught weekly, all year round. Other subjects, such as R.S, geography, history, music, art and computing are taught on a rolling cycle to ensure that interventions such as SALT and life skills (OT) can be covered.

Prospective parents

Prospective parents may wish to get an idea of the ARP environment. On this page you will find some photos of the current ARP classrooms. Many of our pupils with an ARP place spend a considerable amount of time in their mainstream classes, please see the relevant year groups under the main school heading.

We are able to offer tours of the ARP by prior arrangement, we tend to group these to ensure minimum disruption to the pupil environment. Please call the school office to enquire. Please also see the 'admissions' section of our website.
